What we do
We publish independent, sourced guidance across two territories: home energy decisions such as solar panels, EV chargers, heat pumps, battery storage and insulation; and property problems such as spray foam removal, damp, cavity wall, septic tanks and EWS1 assessments. Where a real next step exists, such as the spray foam mortgage checker, we say so on the page.
How we work
Our guides are written in plain English and grounded in the standards set by bodies such as MCS, TrustMark, the Energy Saving Trust and the Property Care Association. We are clear about the grants and rules that apply, and about what to check before any work starts. VettedHome is free to use. We don't run our own vetting process on trades: see how we check what we publish.
